Basic Cooked Rice

My addition to this recipe would be turmeric, which will make the rice yellow.

  • 2 cup(s) uncooked rice
  • 2.5 cup(s) basic stock
  • 1.5 tablespoon(s) onions, chopped very fine
  • 1.5 tablespoon(s) celery, chopped very fine
  • 1.5 tablespoon(s) bell peppers, chopped very fine
  • 1.5 tablespoon(s) unsalted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 0.13 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
  • 1 pinch(es) white pepper
  • 1 pinch(es) black pepper
  • 1 pinch(es) cayenne pepper

Basic Cooked Rice Directions

  1. In a 5x9x2-1/2-inch loaf pan, combine all ingredients; mix well. Seal pan snuggly with aluminum foil.
  2. Bake at 350F until rice is tender, about 1 hour, 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
