Olive and Cheese Ball

I love olives. I'll eat the black olives,  the green olives, marinated,  pickled, brined. However they come, I'll eat them. Combining olives with the cheeses and the butter gives this cheese ball a savory taste.

  • 1 (8 1/2 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 1/2 ounce) package blue cheese, crumbled
  • 0.25 cup(s) soft butter or margarine
  • 1 (4 1/2 ounce) can chopped ripe olives
  • 1 tablespoon(s) chives, chopped
  • 0.5 cup(s) pecans or walnuts, chopped

Olive and Cheese Ball Directions

  1. Blend cheeses and butter. Add olives and chives. Chill slightly for easier shaping. 
  2. Form into ball and roll in chopped nuts, or press them on ball. 
  3. Serve with assorted crackers.
