Ara's Shrimp Dip

Having a party?  This is a great recipe because you can make it a week ahead of time and have it ready at the last minute.  It can also be frozen for later use.

For 1 Batch(es) ()


  • 2 (4 1/2 ounce) cans small shrimp
  • 2 (8 ounces) cream cheese
  • 0.5 can shrimp juice
  • 2 juice of lemons
  • 1 tablespoon(s) grated onion
  • 1 teaspoon(s) pressed garlic
  • 1 (6 1/2 ounce) can crabmeat
  • Tabasco to taste

Ara's Shrimp Dip Directions

  1. Drain shrimp and reserve the juice.
  2. Cream the cheese and combine with the shrimp juice. Add lemon juice, onion, crabmeat, and half of the shrimp.
  3. Add the last of the shrimp and fold in carefully.
  4. This is best served from a chafing dish with Ritz crackers but it is also good as a cold dip. It will keep for a week or two in the refrigerator and may also be  frozen.
