  • 2.5 pound(s) loin back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon(s) celery salt
  • 1 tablespoon(s) chili powder
  • 0.5 cup(s) molasses
  • 1 tablespoon(s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) paprika
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce (1 cup)
  • 0.25 cup(s) mustard

Barbecued Ribs New Orleans Style Directions

  1. Combine celery salt, chili powder, sugar, salt, paprika.  Rub 1/3 of mixture on ribs.
  2. To remaining mixture, add tomato sauce and vinegar.  Heat and use to baste ribs.
  3. Cook over hot coals until tender, basting occasionally with the sauce.  For best results boil ribs until tender.  Ribs are best over coals, however your oven will do nicely.
